Teapot And Tulips

This painting has a very special Christmas story to it. I sold it to a wonderful collector on Columbus day, October 12, and happily mailed it off. Unfortunately, I forgot to address it or put on a return address! I informed her right away, and she was gracious enough to wait while I frantically tried to locate it through the Postal system. After a month, she decided to purchase another one (which I very carefully addressed). In the meantime, I talked with several people at the USPS who weren't too encouraging that I would ever see it again. However, - and this is the special story part, - two days ago it was delivered to my home! YaaaaY! So here it is again! Let's hear it for the USPS!

This sweet, pale turquoise teapot was loaned to me by one of my many generous neighbors. It being spring and all, I found these gorgeous tulips to go with it. I loved their color – sort of a peach, coral, orangey hue. I thought that their “personalities” would harmonize beautifully with my favorite, vintage cutwork cloth. They all seemed pretty happy together. Enjoy.
